Madi + Jason’s wedding weekend at Hatch Point.

This one was personal.

I don’t photograph many traditional weddings these days, but when a dear friend asks you to document a weekend this meaningful, the answer is yes. And, I had my dear friend, Phoebe to document their day with me.

We started with their rehearsal dinner, and then the sky did the most beautiful thing. A rainbow appeared over Hatch Point, and it felt like all the ancestors showed up to bless the weekend. One of those moments you couldn’t have planned, but somehow felt like it was always meant to happen.

The next day carried that same feeling: getting ready, quiet in-between moments, the ceremony, the laughter, the speeches, the wind through the trees off the river in Maine, and all the little pieces that made the weekend feel like them.

What I loved most was that it never felt like a production. It felt like a gathering. A full weekend of their favorite people showing up, slowing down, eating together, laughing together, crying together, and celebrating two people they deeply love.

Madi + Jason, thank you for trusting us with something so close to your hearts. It was such an honor to witness this chapter for you both. Even more special to have George officiate. Feels so good to be a part of the family.

Dolomites elopement on film feels unreal.

My film scans from Italy and Greece just came back, and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I brought my 35mm camera and my new 120 film camera with me to the Dolomites, and of course I had to shoot everything in color because this landscape does not look real.

Lago di Braies, the cerulean blue water, the limestone peaks, the alpine greens, the golden light, the boats, the flowers, all of it feels so otherworldly you wonder if it's a hologram.

Hailey + Anthony adventured with us from sunrise to sunset for their full-day Dolomites elopement, with a real midday break built in so everyone could rest, recharge, and actually enjoy the day. Nobody needs to feel completely exhausted on their elopement day.

George created a personalized symbolic ceremony for them at Lago di Braies, and we were all in tears. Their day was emotional, cinematic, deeply personal, and full of the kind of moments that already feel like memories.

Hailey + Anthony, we love you guys. We are so grateful this work brought us together, and we feel like we gained dear friends through your beautiful Italy elopement.

THE BRIDE’S TOP 10

Madison’s first favorites from her Maine weekend sneak peeks

Ever wonder which photos someone chooses first after their sneak peek gallery is delivered?

These were Madison’s first favorites from her incredible Maine weekend with Jason, and I love seeing what stood out to her right away.

Sometimes it’s the details. Sometimes it’s the people they love. Sometimes it’s the way the light hit, the feeling in the room, or a photo that brings them right back to one tiny moment they never want to forget.

That’s one of my favorite parts of delivering galleries. I get to see what they felt most connected to, not just what I loved as the photographer.

These are the bride’s top 10.

Next up: my photographer’s top 10 picks.

Not every elopement has to be a hiking adventure.

Sometimes it looks like a gorgeous design-forward Airbnb in Woodstock, New York, bare feet in the grass, your daughters running around and playing near the waterfalls, and a ceremony that has everyone in tears.

Deniele + John chose Marsh Meadows in Woodstock for their intimate Airbnb elopement, and it made so much sense for them. They love design and architecture, and this home, which has been featured in places like Architectural Digest and Vogue, felt like the perfect setting for a day that was beautiful, personal, and completely their own.

George officiated a commitment ceremony not only between the two of them, but with their girls woven into the heart of it. It was emotional, honest, family-centered, and so full of love.

Everyone was barefoot. The energy was carefree. The girls explored and played. The waterfalls became part of the soundtrack. The whole afternoon felt relaxed, meaningful, and deeply connected to the people who mattered most.

This is what I love about Airbnb elopements.

They give you space to slow down, be together, cook, play, celebrate, rest, and create an experience around how you actually want to spend your day. Your elopement does not have to be a performance, a packed timeline, or a checklist of locations.

It can be designed around your family, your energy, your style, your love of architecture, your favorite kind of afternoon, and the way you want the day to feel.

We are so grateful we get to share these incredible experiences with our couples.

We are booking 2027 elopements for couples who want something intentional, beautiful, and fully their own. Summer elopements with George as your officiant and amazing assistant are especially close to our hearts.

If you’re dreaming of a relaxed Airbnb elopement in New York, Dolomites Acadia, Grand Teton, or beyond, reach out through the contact form. I’ll help you shape the day around what matters most to you. 🤍

Zoie + Mark’s two-day Grand Teton elopement on black and white film.

Classic. Nostalgic. Timeless. My favorite.

Zoie chose black and white film with borders for part of their elopement story, and I’m so glad she did. There is something about film in the Tetons that just hits differently. The mountains, the horses, the wind, the quiet, the emotion, the way the grain holds a memory.

Their gallery is almost ready, and I am so stoked to deliver it to them. Their highlight film is already finished, the Super 8 came back from the lab and is so good, and the only piece left is editing their full-length elopement film so I can weave the whole story together.

This is what I love about two-day Grand Teton elopements.

There is room for the day to breathe.

Room for private vows, loved ones, horses, hiking, slow moments, film, Super 8, video, and the kind of experience that does not feel rushed or packed into one timeline.

And please don’t sleep on horseback riding with , incredible wranglers and herd. It was such a beautiful part of their experience and truly one of my favorite ways to explore this landscape.

George and I are already so excited to be heading back to Grand Teton National Park next July to create more intentional elopements with couples who love adventure, nature, horses, film, slower days, earthing, and wedding experiences that feel deeply connected to the land.

Zoie + Mark, we are so happy for you. Delivering galleries like this brings me so much joy.

Now booking July 2027 Grand Teton elopements for couples who want the whole adventure.

Don’t sleep on a helicopter elopement in the Dolomites.

If you want the alpine lakes, wildflower fields, mountain meadows, and unreal Dolomites views without hiking for hours at altitude, this is such an incredible way to experience the mountains.

The altitude is no joke here. The drives are long. The trails can be steep. And while I love a good hiking elopement, a helicopter adventure gives you something completely different: a scenic tour of the Dolomites from above, less time in the car, less time grinding uphill, and more time actually enjoying every moment once you land.

Hailey + Anthony started their day with sunrise vows at Lago di Braies, took a slow break in the middle of the day, then ended with a helicopter ride into the mountains for sunset.

We laughed, cried, shared meals, wandered through mountain meadows, and left feeling like we gained lifelong friends.

This is what I mean when I say your elopement can be more than a ceremony.

It can be the whole adventure.

The Dolomites are better than AI, and a helicopter elopement might have ruined us forever.

2027 August Dolomites elopements are open for couples who want the kind of wedding day they’ll talk about for the rest of their lives.

Hailey + Anthony’s Dolomites elopement at Lago di Braies was the kind of day that makes you ask, “was that even real?”

When they first reached out, they told me they had been together for over seven and a half years, loved traveling and beautiful scenic views, and had always dreamed of visiting Europe together. Then they found the Dolomites and instantly fell in love with the idea of getting married on that beautiful blue lake surrounded by mountains.

Their vision was simple: they wanted to be present in every moment and have a chill, meaningful day.

So that’s exactly what we planned.

A sunrise Lago di Braies elopement on the private dock. A personalized symbolic ceremony officiated by George. A hiking adventure through the Dolomites. A midday break built into the timeline so they could rest and nap, even though Hailey kept saying she was way too energized to sleep. Shared meals. So much laughter. Tears. Film. Video. And a helicopter ride to a mountain pass at sunset that left all of us completely speechless.

Their dream came true, and somehow the day was even better than we imagined.

Afterward, they wrote us the sweetest note and said, “Finding you two was one of our biggest blessings as we tried to navigate how to go about our elopement.” They told us we made everything feel comfortable and stress-free, and that they felt like they found lifelong friends in us.

Cue me crying forever.

Because this is what I love most about full-day destination elopements.

It’s not just about showing up somewhere beautiful for photos.

It’s about creating a wedding day that actually feels like your life. The vows. The landscape. The food. The people you trust. The adventure. The quiet. The weather pivots. The helicopter ride you will never stop talking about. The story you will feel in your body for the rest of your life.

Hailey + Anthony, you two are truly some of our new favorite people and now friends. Auguri! Thank you for trusting us completely, laughing with us, crying with us, hiking with us, sharing meals with us, and letting us witness such a sacred chapter of your story.

Don’t sleep on a helicopter elopement in the Dolomites.
