Madi + Jason’s wedding weekend at Hatch Point.
This one was personal.
I don’t photograph many traditional weddings these days, but when a dear friend asks you to document a weekend this meaningful, the answer is yes. And, I had my dear friend, Phoebe to document their day with me.
We started with their rehearsal dinner, and then the sky did the most beautiful thing. A rainbow appeared over Hatch Point, and it felt like all the ancestors showed up to bless the weekend. One of those moments you couldn’t have planned, but somehow felt like it was always meant to happen.
The next day carried that same feeling: getting ready, quiet in-between moments, the ceremony, the laughter, the speeches, the wind through the trees off the river in Maine, and all the little pieces that made the weekend feel like them.
What I loved most was that it never felt like a production. It felt like a gathering. A full weekend of their favorite people showing up, slowing down, eating together, laughing together, crying together, and celebrating two people they deeply love.
Madi + Jason, thank you for trusting us with something so close to your hearts. It was such an honor to witness this chapter for you both. Even more special to have George officiate. Feels so good to be a part of the family.
