A Little Clarification About A Stranger Session 🖤
I’ve had several questions and concerns lately about how my A Stranger Session matches work, so I wanted to take a moment to explain the process clearly and make sure everyone knows exactly what to expect.
First, these sessions are NOT matched based on looks or appearance. I do not always know what every participant looks like. Facebook profiles aren’t always current, some people have very few photos, and some don’t have photos at all. My matches are based primarily on the questionnaire, personality, interests, lifestyle, and characteristics that each person provides.
The goal is to create an opportunity to meet someone you may genuinely connect with—not to guarantee that you will be matched with a specific “type” or someone you personally find attractive.
✨ You always have the opportunity to ask additional questions about a potential match before moving forward. I want everyone to feel comfortable with the process.
💰 How payment works
Once I have a match and we have agreed on a date, time, and location that works for everyone, the $50 session payment is due to secure the booking.
I collect payment upfront because I need to know that everyone is committed to showing up. These sessions involve coordinating three people's schedules, and I don't want one person backing out at the last minute and leaving someone else without a session.
If you cancel, your $50 payment is forfeited because I have to refund the other participant for their portion.
If your match cancels on you, you have three options:
• I can look for another match
• We can do the session with just you
• I can refund your payment
And if something genuinely comes up and you need to reschedule, I am absolutely willing to work with you. I understand that life happens and sometimes plans have to change.
📱 Exchanging contact information
In some situations, I have offered participants the option to exchange phone numbers before their session. This is something I have only recently started offering as an additional way for people to feel more comfortable and get to know their match beforehand.
You do NOT have to exchange phone numbers.
However, if you choose to exchange numbers after I offer that option, I make it clear at that time that the session is considered confirmed and you cannot use the phone-number exchange as a reason to back out of the session.
⏰ What happens if payment isn't made?
If payment has not been received at the time of booking and you haven't communicated with me about when you are able to pay, your session is not considered secured.
If someone else books and pays for that time slot, the paid booking will receive priority.
This isn't me trying to be difficult—it is simply how I have to protect my business and make sure I am not holding a date and time for someone who may not follow through.

I am not scamming anyone, and I am absolutely a real photographer. I understand that meeting a complete stranger can feel unusual, and I completely understand wanting to verify that I'm legitimate.
I have worked hard to build my photography business, and I want everyone who participates in A Stranger Session to feel safe, informed, and comfortable.
These sessions are about meeting someone new, stepping outside your comfort zone, and creating something fun together. I cannot promise that every match will be exactly what you pictured in your head—but I can promise that I am putting thought into each match based on the information you give me.
If you have questions about the process, PLEASE ASK. I would much rather answer your questions upfront than have anyone feel confused or uncomfortable later.
