Hi everyone!

A past participant of the After the Abortion photography series wants to write a devotional and is looking for people to share their stories. PLEASE...WRITE DIRECTLY TO HER, as I will be away and will be unable to respond to a bunch of messages.

Here is her message...

I'm looking for 12 women who would be willing to share their abortion regret and redemption story for a devotional God has placed on my heart.

This isn't about shame, judgment, or politics. It's about truth, healing, grace, and the incredible mercy of Jesus.

If you've experienced abortion and have walked through grief, regret, forgiveness and restoration; your story could help another woman realize she is not alone and that there is be hope on the other side of brokenness.

You may share as much or as little as you're comfortable with. If you'd prefer, your story can be included anonymously or under a pseudonym. Your privacy will be respected, and I will never publish your story without your permission.

I am prayerfully looking for 12 stories to include in this devotional. You need to be at a point that you are healed from and able to share your story. 12 women whose stories are selected will each receive: 🌸 A complimentary copy of the completed devotional. 🎁 A special MacKenzi's Gift Basket as a thank-you for sharing your heart and helping bring hope to other women.

Every story is different. Some are filled with sorrow, others with healing, and many with both. Every testimony has value because it points to God's faithfulness.

As Scripture reminds us: "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." (2 Corinthians 1:3–4)

"Just Get Up!", "Off the Hook" and "Set Free"

Amy was 16 when she got pregnant. Her family members made the decision for her to get an abortion. Like many women, Amy suffered in silence for decades after her abortion. After she experienced many years of pain, God used the "Surrendering the Secret" Bible study to bring forgiveness and healing to her heart. God is now using HER as a teacher of that powerful Bible study to bring the same forgiveness and healing she found to others!

Amy sent me her story. Her descriptions of her pain and healing were so full of imagery that I was able to come up with 8 photos! (We often only do 2 or 3.)

These 3 photos are very impactful. My prayer is that God would use them to help someone else who is suffering after their abortion. I pray you will find the same healing that Amy has found. And who knows...maybe God will also use YOU to help bring His forgiveness and healing to others!

I received this message today. Let's have a conversation about "Christian" parents--and even those who are pastors--encouraging or forcing their daughter to have an abortion. Did this happen to you?

The lady who sent me this message has to remain anonymous, due to her sisters' children not knowing about their mom's abortion (and lost sibling! :'( ), but she felt so strongly the need to have this discussion and have me share her family's story, to show that abortion has devastating affects on the entire family.

As I communicated with this woman, I realized that my husband and I were in this very situation with our own daughter. Here is a bit of our story...

We were missionaries. My husband was the pastor of an international church in Italy. Our 19 year old daughter announced to us that she was pregnant. What would we do? How could we tell this news to our congregation and missions agency--as well as the many churches that sent us monthly support?

Thankfully, abortion was not on our mind or our daughter's mind. We had a choice: save face or save our daughter and grandchild. We knew that God could redeem ANY situation. And that He did! Our entire family was surrounded by grace on every side! God used that little unplanned baby (unplanned by us, but PLANNED BY GOD!!!) to save our daughter and turn our lives around!

My husband and I have 3 daughters. We had picked out a name for a son, but were never able to use it. I didn't realize I had shared that with my daughters. Our daughter decided (completely a surprise to us!) to call her beautiful baby boy the very name we would have given to our own son! He is now a teenager and is the most wonderful boy--and one of the greatest blessings in our lives!

It is because of him that I became a newborn photographer and because of him that my work became known around the world. From that, God put it in my heart to start the Precious Baby Project as well as the After the Abortion Photography Series...all because of an "unplanned pregnancy"! Our God can redeem--and use--any situation!

Christian parents--especially Christian leaders--don't sacrifice your child--and grandchild--just to save face!!! Allow God to work in your situation. He has a way of working out everything for our good!

Lastly, if you were forced to have an abortion--or if you were the one who forced someone--you can find forgiveness today. That forgiveness and life-changing healing comes from Jesus. Always remember that He is close to the brokenhearted. (Psaln 34:18)

"Silenced"
Did you live in silence after your abortion? Many women do, but eventually, they find the courage to share their story...and that is the beginning of their healing!

Amy travelled to me a couple hours today for a very powerful session. It's been quite a while since I've had a session for the After the Abortion photography series, so I was pretty happy!

When she sent me her story, her descriptions of her pain and healing were so full of imagery that I was able to come up with 8 photos! (We often only do 2 or 3.) It will take me quite a while to edit all of her photos, but you don't want to miss them!

Like many women, Amy suffered in silence, but now that God has brought forgiveness and healing to her heart, He is using her to bring that same forgiveness and healing to others!
