Mckenna's surprise proposal to Andrew on the Speaker’s Balcony of the U.S. Capitol was one of the most carefully orchestrated proposals I’ve ever photographed! Mckenna and Andrew parents were in town visiting from Oregon and Kentucky, so Mckenna's planned a “tour” of the Capitol with U.S. Congresswoman . It was the perfect cover to have both parents present without making her suspicious because USA 250th 4th July . Andrew's flights get delayed the day of engagement, we end up need push back on time.
Mckenna had absolutely no idea what was about to happen. In just a few seconds, an ordinary moment turned into one she'll remember for the rest of her life. The look of shock, the happy tears, the overwhelming joy, and, of course... the "YES!" made this such an incredible moment to witness.
we made a special stop at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to honor Andrew's grandfather, who was KIA while serving our country during the Vietnam War.
It made this visit even more meaningful to share it with a newly engaged couple as they begin the next chapter of their lives. Remembering the past while celebrating the future is a reminder to cherish every moment and the freedoms we have because of those who gave everything.

Looking back through all the photos I've taken of Leah and Halle over the past four years fills my heart with so much.

It feels like just yesterday they were starting this journey, and now here we are celebrating their graduation. These photos remind me not only of how much they've grown, but also of the countless memories, laughter, friendships, and achievements that have shaped them into the amazing young women they are today.
