Happy Earth Day! 😍🦊

I've been slacking on processing my photos lately. I've seen tons of wildlife lately including GHO owlets, 30+ Black Crowned Night Herons, super close ups of a Great Blue Heron, Red Tail Hawk ripping a squirell into pieces, adult Foxes, and much more...but I keep going back to these kit photos lol.

Foxes continue to force me to keep learning and perfecting this craft of wildlife photography. I began this journey about a year ago but by the time I learned the ropes I barely saw any young kits, only a few juveniles and most of them had mange.

I spent months and months planning for kit season this year. I had trail cameras setup all over. I had what I thought were active dens ready for the vixens to give birth...but then it all changed. I wasn't seeing Foxes around as much. I wasn't seeing kits.

I live in a pretty urban area but we have alot of woods around. I actively track Foxes all over NJ from inner cities to dense rural woods. I began to worry I wouldn't find any kits this year. How can I call myself the and not find kits?!

Well this weekend that all changed! But Foxes continue to be even more unpredictably unpredictable(if that makes sense🤣). I had active dens in many many different wooded areas in NJ. I narrowed my search down to only a few locations. One of which being near my house. They had great spots with dens in the woods. But I still wasn't seeing them. Turns out they picked someone's backyard to den!! Fortunately I know the people and have full access to the backyard....lots of photos and videos to come!!😁🦊
