This piece sells more than any other from my Redbubble Shop, either as a card, or a poster. The background is from a photo I took of tall grasses in front of a stone wall in fall, highly edited. Imagine a world where this was the norm before we spoke.

I do love photographing old, rusty, broken, forgotten things. This was taken at an old building that has been replaced, I would love to see the new building up close, will have to go and check it out. But for now, I do enjoy the possibilities of what was.

Continuing on the black and white theme, which is really my favorite at the moment, I have transformed the colorful daffodil picture from yesterday to black and white (at the request/suggestion of Julian Churchill). I also decided to transform a photo which used a technique to make the color glow, and see what would happen if I transformed that to black and white as well. I have included both versions of the photograph.

I use a different approach to making my photos black and white, which I learned about only recently. In my mind, it really helps to make the photos stand out far more than they did with any other process I used.

I certainly will be using color photography, I do live in New England which has the most amazing fall colors. Plus there really is something unique about an old red barn or a rusty, green tractor. ❤

Oh it's been a long time. I have kept an eye on you all but just haven't felt like posting. I wanted to have an I'm all back to normal post, but if I wait for that I might never be back!

Before I go any farther, I don't want to disappoint. Have you had your colonoscopy yet? Are you on schedule or did you put it off because, well, it is a big pain in the butt. NOT. If you put it off it can be far worse than a pain in the butt.

So anyway, because of complications from my cancer surgery, things are not the same. I have had to give up an active real estate career and go into a referral group. I still have a license, still had to take continuing education courses, (ick) and will renew my license with the state of Connecticut, but I cannot take anyone out or list houses. However I can refer anyone to an agent, so there is that.

Don't feel bad, it's my own fault. Good news, I have tests, scans, doctor visits all the time, I am happy to report I am still cancer free! I have something called Low Anterior Resection Syndrome, won't go into the gory details. I will say, it has changed my life. Book that colonoscopy, I am still the poster child of who you don't want to be!

So what am I doing? Photography, art, things that I really love! I have even picked up a pencil after a bazillion years and am re-learning how to sketch again. I can't always get out to take new photos, so I am looking back into my large collection and working on them.

I am part of an art gallery now, Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio in New Milford. The spring show opens on Friday, April 12. I am in a black and white mood these days, for the most part.

I will be posting more on my photography page, and will be working on my website in the next week or so. So here I am, back and ready to go!

Coyote in Black and White. I thought this photo was perfect for a black and white touch, giving it even more drama. Although I do love color, I find black and white photography to add quite a different, and often very dramatic look to a photo. Please feel free to share if you desire.

All Things Red. One of the things I love about old farms are the finds there, ghosts of the past, sometimes still in use. I do love the red as well. Add snow and it is perfection, in my eyes.
