It’s been a month since these two had a dreamy wedding in Cancun. I actually met Livi when she and Greg were modeling for a styled shoot I attended in New Orleans. She is the kindest person I’ve ever met with THE sweetest soul, and Greg has the heart to match.

Untraditional engagement photos in 2023
I love when clients come to me with a vibe/aesthetic/idea in mind of what they want their photoshoot to be like. And it also helps me get an idea of who the couple is.

Taira reached out to me with a Pinterest Board already made and I loved it. It was full of flash photos in hotel lobby’s and cool eclectic bars.

Looking for an excuse to wear your wedding dress again?

Dacey messaged me saying that her and her husband were coming to New Orleans for their anniversary and wanted to do an elopement style session. They had a beach wedding in Florida, but New Orleans holds a special place in their hearts since this is where they got engaged.

Buying a wedding dress is one of the best parts of planning a wedding for the bride, and we only wear it ONCE, crazy! So if you want an excuse to wear it again, why not an anniversary shoot in your favorite city?! I think Dacey was on to something :)

TO ELOPE OR NOT TO ELOPE?

Choosing to elope can cause some serious tension amongst family and friends. My advice is to inform those closest to you that you’re considering this option instead of a traditional black and white wedding.

Get some feedback so you can better gauge whether this choice will ultimately make you and your fiancé happy, or will it cause more grief than you had originally thought.

Those who truly love and understand you and your better half may very well be supportive, giving you the courage and strength to proceed as you please.

Photographing couples with each other is just the best part of my job. I’m a solid third wheel, and I don’t mind it one bit! I promise, if I’m snuggled up with you guys, it’s because i’m trying to get shots like this!! Swear it’s worth it! I love capturing sweet emotional moments like these because they are moments you know happen everyday but don’t see captured often.

Would you travel half way around the world to get married here?!

Ireland has been on my bucket list ever since I saw the movie P.S I love you, so when I had the opportunity to go I absolutely said yes!

Olivia and Luis have been together for over 7 years and even though they are already married, they had never gotten professional photos taken. Normally couples would be shy in front of the camera, but not these two.

We played some music and had them just “be”. We faded into the background and let them just be in love, and boy are they in love. They slowed danced, laughed, cried (maybe I did too! Im telling you it was beautiful) and just lived in the moment.

THIS, this right here is what marriage is about. Not the party, not the guest list, or what food you’re going to serve, but this exact moment. The moment you fall even deeper in love with one another even when you didn’t think that was possible.

Thank you Olivia and Luis for reminding me what this is all about.

Hey, it’s me!

Day 2 in Ireland and I am feeling the jet lag. The 6 hour time difference hits me differently at my old age ☠️ But it can’t stop us from exploring. City of Dublin yesterday, the coast of Dalkey today.

We are moving into the Airbnb later today and dinner with the entire group. The retreat officially kicks off tomorrow with an elopement in downtown Dublin!

Adding a stamp to my passport 🇨🇮

It’s only fitting that since the last photo I posted was on St. Patrick’s Day, that I post again the day I leave for Ireland!

I’m excited to be able to visit a new country and get to explore a bunch of amazing locations for my couples. So if you are thinking about a destination elopement or wedding in Ireland, keep an eye out for my instagram stories.

Adding a little green to your feed for St. PADDY'S DAY!

On the road this weekend with the team so no parades for me this year. Growing up in Cleveland and going to St. Patrick's School, St. Paddys Day was a huge holiday for us. I was even the baton captain of the drill team and we got to perform in the huge parade downtown. It was kinda a big deal for my 8th grade self lol.
