So, tonight, as I was leaving a wedding after a double wedding weekend in this blazing heat,on top of not feeling great, I couldn’t help but reflect on how blessed I am.
There’s constantly this voice in my head telling me that I’m not doing enough. I’m not marketing enough. I’m not pushing my business out to people enough. I’m not booking enough. But God keeps placing the right clients in my path. This weekend I shot two of my “ADL” girls, girls who I have been shooting since they were 15! What a blessing to watch them grow. Watch them build these beautiful lives, and capture the start to their new ones!! I haven’t felt great, being pregnant in this heat on top of a terrible ear infection- I had to do everything in my power to rally and rally some more, but over and over, vendors, guests, past and current clients have checked on me, offered water, and just shown so much care. Even texts from so many clients who really just care for me as a friend not just their photographer. And I can’t express how thankful I am to be surrounded by people who see me as more than just an employee, they see me, they love me, and I am so, so blessed. I have been hugged, prayed for, and supported in ways I never expected. They cheer me on. They help me rally. They get me liquid iv. These are things I never ever asked for or expect or need, but here are all of these people just constantly asking and checking when they do not have to.
This job is such a gift, I’m right where I need to be, even when it’s 95 degrees and I’m the size of a whale, squatting in an aisle, capturing a wedding day.
