He spent the entire day writing a love story she didn’t know she was living.

Every detail had a purpose. Every little moment was chosen with her in mind. The places, the surprises, the timing, all of it quietly saying, I know you. I love you. I want you to feel that today.

And then, when the day had already been filled with so much intention, he gave her the moment she would remember for the rest of her life.

But the proposal was never just about getting down on one knee.

It was about every unseen detail that came before it. Every thought he put into making sure the woman he loves felt cherished, celebrated, + completely adored.

Because the most beautiful love stories aren’t always found in the grand gesture. Sometimes they’re found in all the little things someone does when they love you enough to make an entire day about you 🌿💍

‼️STARTING TODAY‼️

Moving forward, I will no longer be posting identifiable photos of children’s faces.

And honestly, this one hurts.
I love photographing childhood. The belly laughs. The missing teeth. The messy hair. The little hands holding onto Mom. The way a child looks at their parents like they are their entire world. Those are some of the most beautiful memories I get to preserve. But I am also a human being, + someone who believes that protecting a child should always come before a social media feed.

A recent federal appeals court ruling highlighted something that has been weighing heavily on me: AI technology has advanced to the point where computer generated images of children can be made incredibly realistic. In the case, the Seventh Circuit ruled that existing Supreme Court precedent prevented the government from criminalizing the private possession of certain obscene AI-generated images that did not involve real children. And that is enough for me to say: I don't want to take the chance with your babies.

Because once I post your child's face online, I don't control where that image goes.
I don't know who saves it. I don't know who screenshots it. I don't know what technology will be able to do with it tomorrow. And I don't want to find out the hard way.
So yes, this will change how I share family sessions.

You'll still see the giggles, the muddy feet, the cuddles, the tiny details, the back of the head moments, the little hands, the running, the playing, the chaos + all the love that makes your family yours. But your child's face will belong to them, not my portfolio.

Your babies are more important than my content. Every single time.

If you're a parent who has trusted me with your family's memories, please know this isn't because I value those photographs any less. It's because I value your children more.
