๐ Why do photography awards matter?
The honest answer? They don't. At least not for the reason most people think. Awards don't make your senior pictures more important.
You do.
Your senior year only happens once.
One year.
One season.
One chance to capture who you are right now.
The reason awards matter is because they represent years of learning, practicing, failing, improving, and mastering a craft. They represent countless hours studying lighting, posing, storytelling, expression, and how to help people feel comfortable in front of the camera.
Because let's be honest...
Most seniors aren't professional models.
They're athletes, musicians, dancers, artists, gamers, hunters, students, and dreamers.
Our job isn't to photograph models.
Our job is to help real seniors feel confident enough to be themselves.
Over the years, Nate has been honored with awards including:
๐ Best Senior Portrait Photographer in the St. Croix Valley
๐ Twin Cities Master Photographer of the Year
๐ Recognition as part of one of the Top 100 Photography Studios in the Country
And while we're incredibly grateful for those honors, what matters most isn't what's hanging on our walls.
It's what's hanging on yours.
The framed portrait that makes Mom smile every time she walks by. The album your senior flips through years from now. The images that tell the story of who they were at this moment in time.
Because when senior year is over, the awards won't matter.
The memories will.
If you could describe your senior in one word right now, what would it be?
