Corinthian Hall at Grand Lodge. A beautiful ornate Gothic Lodge room lined with portraits of our first Grand Masters here in Provincial New England and Massachusetts. In the South overlooking the Lodge is the first Provincial Grand Master, Henry Price who received the charter in 1733 directly from the Grand Lodge of England was the First for Massachusetts and England. Many famous patriots became masons and even Grand Masters including Joseph Warren and Paul Revere.

Other Noted Freemasons hug the corners of the hall above statues representing Faith, Hope, Charity and Wisdom

Faith – George Washington
Hope – Joseph Warren
Charity - Marquis de LaFayette
Wisdom - Benjamin Franklin.

Ionic Hall at the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts is named with purpose.

The Ionic Order has long symbolized wisdom measured judgment, disciplined learning, and knowledge guided by restraint. Its scroll capitals represent order resolving tension, reason shaping strength, and tradition carried forward through time.

Within this hall, architecture becomes moral language.
It reminds us that strength may support the structure and beauty may refine it, but wisdom must govern it.

Ionic Hall stands as a quiet teacher where learning is preserved, decisions are weighed carefully, and the work of the Craft is carried out with intention.

It holds the Grand Lodge Quarterly Communications along with the most recent portraits of the Grand Masters from the 20th and 21st Century. We see our most Junior Past Grand Master, George Forest Hamilton in the South East Corner. Our Most Senior Living Past Grand Master Albert Ames. Just outside the Doors to Ionic Hall is Joseph Earl Perry who had a storied career as a Mason from Western MA who met the Duke of Kent as the incoming Grand Master, Brother to King George VI, oversaw the loss of Lodges because of the construction of the Quabbin Reservoir but yet 50 years later as Past Grand Master was the standing Grand Master when the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts established lodges in Panama.

Standard widescreen often dictates what stays in and what gets cut. By utilizing Open Gate recording, you capture every pixel the sensor offers. This maximizes your creative real estate and provides a versatile canvas for the following reasons:
• Vertical Versatility: Shooting the full sensor height allows you to crop for 9:16 social content without sacrificing resolution or losing the top of your subject’s head.
• The 3:4 Aesthetic: Embracing this boxier aspect ratio evokes a classic, photographic feel that centers the viewer’s focus on the subject rather than the periphery.
• Post-Production Flexibility: Having extra visual data at the top and bottom of your frame enables significant vertical stabilization and “re-framing” long after the cameras stop rolling.

1. Born in the late 90s, Kodak VISION3 500T revolutionized the industry by mastering high speed tungsten light, offering a signature halation and wide dynamic range that turned nighttime shadows into pure poetry.

2. The Joker, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Euphoria, Uncut Gems, The Hateful Eight

3. The Digital Renaissance: While nothing beats physical celluloid, a new generation of “digital alchemists” is keeping the 500T spirit alive developing high end LUTs and film emulation profiles that allow mobile and mirrorless creators to capture that timeless, cinematic “breath” on any budget.

Do you use a digital emulation of Kodak 500t?

If you’re still tethered to a desk to edit 4K, you’re working harder, not smarter.

The “Old Guard” will tell you that you need a 20lb tower and a $3,000 monitor to be a professional. The data says otherwise. We’ve hit a tipping point where the most efficient studio isn’t a room—it’s a device in your backpack.
Here is the proof that the iPad is the ultimate 4K powerhouse:

• The Hardware Gap is Gone: We aren’t just “mobile” anymore; we’re hyper-efficient. Benchmark tests show the M4 chip in the latest iPad Pro handles 4K ProRes RAW streams with significantly less thermal throttling than most high-end laptops. You’re getting desktop-class rendering without the “jet engine” fan noise.

• The Science of “Flow”: There’s a psychological reason why you edit faster on glass. Research in neuro-aesthetics shows that direct manipulation—using an Apple Pencil to physically “touch” your timeline—drastically reduces cognitive friction. By removing the abstraction of a mouse, your brain enters a creative flow state 2x faster.

• Hollywood-Grade Portability: The “gatekeepers” have lost their edge. With DaVinci Resolve for iPadOS, you are using the exact same color-grading engine used on 80% of Hollywood films. With a 40% year-over-year increase in pro-grade app migrations, the industry is officially signaling that the “desk” is now optional.

The tools have evolved. Have you?

🍿Movie theaters are cramming 30 minutes of ads before films, and Hollywood studios aren’t happy. AMC has joined rivals Regal and Cinemark in running marathon pre-shows packed with non-movie commercials. AMC's own app now warns ticket buyers "The movie will start 25-30 minutes after the listed showtime," basically giving customers a green light to skip the whole pre-show. And skip they do. Studies show 36% of audiences now intentionally arrive late to dodge the ads, with only 20% in their seats when trailers start. That's a problem because moviegoers are also missing the movie trailers that studios drop hundreds of thousands to place. Some studio execs are calling it "incredibly self-defeating," as trailers are their best weapon for getting butts in seats for future movies. But AMC's got bills to pay: the chain is sitting on $4B in debt and needs every revenue stream it can get.

Amazon MGM Studios is going old school in a big way. At SXSW, the streaming giant announced plans to drop 12-14 films in theaters in 2026, ramping up to a potential 16 in 2027. Studio execs are calling it a commitment that's both "financial and philosophical"—pretty big plot twist after years of the streaming-first strategy that tech giants like Amazon championed during the streaming wars.

Technicolor, the legendary VFX powerhouse that pioneered color film technology back in 1915 and recently created visual effects for movies like Disney's ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ has shut down operations worldwide, declaring financial insolvency in late February. Offices across the US, UK, Canada, and India have gone dark, leaving thousands of visual effects artists jobless and major studios scrambling to find new vendors to complete their in-progress projects.

The collapse played out like a blockbuster disaster movie:

👨‍💼 CEO Caroline Parot told employees "we're back" in January after two years of financial struggles, only to announce the company's demise weeks later

💸 Up to 10,000 workers globally were affected, with many not even receiving their February paychecks

🏢 Offices were reportedly stripped bare of everything valuable, from computer monitors to awards

🎭 Major productions like ‘Mission Impossible,’ Netflix's ‘Wednesday,’ and Disney's ‘Snow White’ were left in limbo
