Korene Altmann Photography Affordable graduation, family, outdoor wedding, newborn, and birthday photography. I have been doing photography since high school.

As a 4-H member, I won the grand champion ribbon at the state fair. My photo then went on a national tour through Kodak. I have had several photos make the back cover of APWS magazine and took 3rd place in their photo contest when it was still held. I LOVE photography and meeting new people. It is my goal to make your photo session fun, not stressful.

I've been a little under the weather, but felt like sharing something very dear to me to perk me up. A lot of my friends know that I've been taking pics since my teens, but not a lot of people know what really gave me the confidence that I so badly needed, not just with photography, but as a young adult trying to figure out life. My Pentax 35 mm camera was a pretty good sidekick. Though it is faded and a pic of a pic, with some reflection showing, this is the photo that won grand champion at the MN state fair and was chosen by the Kodak company to be included in a national exhibition. It was even displayed at the White House! The portrait is titled simply: Amy Jo. Amy Jo has long since grown up with children of her own. I had the pleasure of taking some pics of them a couple of years ago as well. You bet we had her little girl recreate the pose. I have not received clearance from her to share those pics, but wanted to share this original with all of you.

I'm already missing the crazy busy season for a photographer. People love those fall colors, but winter and a little fresh snow can make for some amazing photo sessions as well. I am still able to do appointments in the gazebo on better winter days. It also works well as a place to change or warm up a bit by the cute little space heater. Message me if you would like to do a winter fun session on the farm!
