We made the announcement on our personal pages this weekend, but of course need to update here, too!

Baby DeVries will be joining us in January 2023! ✨

Back in 2019, we had made the announcement that we wouldn't be taking photography bookings past 2020..and then COVID of course changed that 💁🏼‍♀️ we shot our last booked weddings in April of this year and then found out at the same time that we were expecting this little babe!

Photography has been such a wonderful opportunity for us to meet the MOST exceptional humans and document the highlight moments of their lives. At the same time, it was always our intention to keep it short-term and as a means to an end for our goal to purchase a house and grow our family through foster care/adoption/biological children. We are thrilled to finally be in this moment to have met our goals and be starting our family. We cannot possibly thank every single client-friend enough for your faith in us to have worked together during your special days.

We are not taking any new bookings for photography in the future as of now, but you may see some occasional posts here and there of us and of the friends and families in our lives. For now, if you have an interest in the perinatal and parenthood realm, Mckaila has had her own photography and doula business, up and running for some time and would welcome any mamas over there!

We love you all and thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, and can't wait to introduce our newest family member to you in the coming months!

Sometimes your "person" is someone who you've been next to for quite some time, it just took a while to grow towards each other. Such is the case for this story... one that was "worth the wait". Chloe and Colin are two very special people to us - a pair who radiate authenticity and ooze with compassion. Their wedding day was a welcome reminder of how serious this commitment is, and how much deep joy can be found within it. We were honored to be asked to document this day, and are eager to share more of this brief preview later 💕

I first met Sarah in 1st grade, and from day one, she taught me about horses, good music (my only MCR friend), and what true joy sounded like. If you know Sarah, you know her kind heart and that infectious laughter! You also know of her love and family summer tradition for Assateague. So when she told me she was thinking of changing her wedding plans to a microwedding at her favorite place on earth, you know our (biased) hearts were game! We just prayed that the wild ponies would make their appearance to make her dreams come true....and they did! 🐎
