Three points of inspiration today—New York, as always, delivers a bit of the unexpected.

1. Rizzoli Bookstore
A space that feels transported—almost Parisian in its intimacy and reverence for the written word. Founded in 1964, Rizzoli has long been a cultural anchor for art, fashion, and design in New York. You don’t just browse here—you absorb.
I went in search of Lazar… no luck. Some things aren’t meant to be found in the moment. I left instead with a title by recent Nobel Prize–winning author László Krasznahorkai—an unexpectedly wonderful find.
2. On the walk: the unexpected.
The Dreamscape Sphere—a surreal “third eye” installation by Charlotte Colbert—hovering near the Flatiron Building.
Art that interrupts your day is the kind that stays with you.
3. The quiet influence of color.
The The New York Times Home section—subtle palettes, tonal restraint, a study in cohesion.
There’s always a thread if you look closely.

Pay attention to these details. You will understand your artistic voice. You will begin to understand.
