Could Natasha Romanoff really get one final MCU comeback? Rumors surrounding Avengers: Secret Wars have once again put Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow at the center of fan speculation. One industry rumor has claimed Johansson could reprise Natasha in the massive Avengers event, but as of now, Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed her for the movie.
That distinction matters because Johansson herself has repeatedly sounded much more definitive. While discussing Natasha’s fate, she emphasized that Black Widow is dead, referring to the character's sacrifice on Vormir in Avengers: Endgame. More recent reporting has continued to describe Johansson as having closed the door on returning to the role.
Still, Secret Wars makes almost any Marvel comeback imaginable. The film follows Avengers: Doomsday and is currently scheduled for December 17, 2027. With the Multiverse Saga bringing together heroes from different realities and eras, fans naturally wonder whether an alternate Natasha—or some other version of Black Widow—could appear without undoing the original character's emotional sacrifice.
Johansson's history with the MCU stretches all the way back to 2010's Iron Man 2. Natasha then became one of the original cinematic Avengers before receiving her own Black Widow movie in 2021. That history makes the possibility of seeing her alongside returning Marvel veterans particularly exciting.
For now, though, the safest way to describe this post is RUMOR, not confirmation.
If Marvel somehow brings Natasha back while preserving the meaning of her Endgame ending, seeing Scarlett Johansson suit up as Black Widow one more time could become one of Secret Wars’ biggest theater moments. ❤️‍🔥🕷️

Keira Knightley stepping into the world of Tarzan as Jane Porter is one of those fan-casting ideas that becomes surprisingly convincing the more you think about it. To be clear, Knightley has not been officially announced as Jane Porter in a Disney live-action Tarzan—the image is presenting a fan-casting concept. However, she really has been suggested by fans for the role multiple times over the years.
Jane in Disney's Tarzan isn't simply the traditional romantic lead. She's curious, intelligent, expressive and fascinated by everything she discovers in the jungle. She can move from sophisticated and composed to completely overwhelmed by the chaos around her in seconds, which is a huge part of what makes the character so entertaining.
That's where Keira Knightley could be an interesting match. Disney fans already know her as Elizabeth Swann from the Pirates of the Caribbean films, where she played another refined British character who gradually revealed a fearless and adventurous side. Disney's own D23 archive credits Knightley with Elizabeth Swann as well as her later appearance as the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
There's also something fitting about imagining the actress who helped bring Elizabeth Swann to life playing Jane: both characters begin in worlds defined by manners and expectations before finding themselves pulled into enormous adventures far beyond anything they anticipated.
So this isn't casting news—but as a Disney fan cast, it's definitely fun to imagine.

One of the most interesting changes in Disney’s live-action remakes is how characters who had less musical space in the animated originals sometimes receive entirely new songs. Alan Menken has been right at the center of that evolution, returning to musical worlds he helped create decades earlier and finding new ways to let familiar characters express what they are feeling.
A perfect example is the Beast in 2017’s Beauty and the Beast. The original 1991 animated soundtrack doesn’t feature a major solo for him. For the remake, Menken and lyricist Tim Rice created “Evermore,” performed by Dan Stevens as the Beast after he lets Belle leave the castle. Menken explained that the remake wanted to add more emotional texture to the Beast and his history.
Then came 2019’s Aladdin. Princess Jasmine had memorable moments in the 1992 film, but the remake gave her something completely new: “Speechless.” Menken composed the music while Benj Pasek and Justin Paul wrote the lyrics. Menken described the new version of Jasmine as a three-dimensional young woman who wants her voice to be heard and respected, making the song an important expression of her ambitions.
That’s what makes the observation in this post work so well. These songs aren't simply extra musical numbers added to make the remakes longer. At their best, they allow characters to stop the story for a moment and finally tell audiences what is happening inside their heads.
“Evermore” gave the Beast his heartbreak. “Speechless” gave Jasmine her voice. Alan Menken helped familiar Disney characters feel like protagonists of their own stories. ❤️🎶

Her face told the whole story 😭
One of the best things about Encanto is how much of the story is told through tiny background details instead of dialogue. Dolores’ nervous expression and the flowers appearing in her hair make her feelings pretty clear, while Abuela removing the imperfect flower reinforces her need for everything in the family to appear flawless.
