CHULO was created as a fun way to fundraise for marginalized communities. We were tired that big labels were taking our money out of our neighborhoods to build their mansions elsewhere, so we created gear whose profits were invested back into the community. We saw Ryan strutting down the block over a decade ago like he was the sliced bread of the light-skinned, high yellow crew. We said, "Hey, papi. You wanna model dat c**o for CHULO?" Actually, CHULO didn't exist yet, but Ryan did hit the runway and catwalk with us, and then when the brand later came out, he ended up on the pages of our CHULO Charity Calendar as a centerfold. Ryan has put on some muscle mass since those early days, but here he is in a recent , talking about how he fat and out of shape. Wait, what?! Leave a comment. In honor of , the legendary Crotona Park cultural center and boxing gym that has to find a new location due to the gentrification of the Bronx, has decided to post this updated edit of our promo video from 2022 featuring everyone's favorite 🇵🇷 model, Freddy. Filmed on location at El Maestro, this edit celebrates the work and dedication of founder Fernando Ponce Laspina and the many men, women, and youth who brought this dream to life.
