Next series at the Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) show Friday August 14, 2026 at Wisconsin International Raceway. (I still have so much to share before I even get to the finale.)

In case you are curious, I shoot with a Nikon D850 all in RAW which means instead of my camera developing my images, I develop them in Lightroom from what I remember in my "minds eye". My favorite lens is my Tokina Opera 16-28 f/2.8 lens. It's my go to in my passion of landscapes but also for fireworks cuz it's awesome 😄. Any time I shoot fireworks, it's always ISO 100. As far as shutter speeds, well they vary. I do them instinctually with my intervelamoter. Fireworks can be difficult to capture. PGI just brings extra challenges cuz it is so intense and I absolutely love the challenge of that!

My second series of photos from the 2026 Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) show Friday August 14, 2026 at Wisconsin International Raceway begins with the Pyro Team after the National Anthem. This is just a glimpse of what I captured. Photography is not my full time gig and I appreciate your patience as I cull and develop the shots I captured. There will be many, many more shared in the near future from the second Team, as well as the Finale Team.

I was fortunate to attend the 2026 Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) show Friday August 14, 2026 at Wisconsin International Raceway near Kaukauna, Wisconsin. The last time I saw (and captured) a fireworks display as amazing and impressive, was the PGI show in Oshkosh in 2023. Now I'm very rusty at capturing fireworks since it's been a while and the general admission spectator situation at WIR is definitely the most challenging setup I've ever had for setting up my tripod, but we made it work. This first series is from the National Anthem. I look forward to working on the rest of my captures throughout the next couple of days, and will share as I develop them.

Tenth series of photos documenting the flooding here in New London, Wisconsin the evening of Monday April 20, 2026. These start at the intersection of W. North Water Street and N. Shawano Street. I ventured into the neighborhood west of N. Shawano Street but in my rain boots, I was not able to make it to Avon Street from Shiocton Street or W. North Water Street.. I got close. Losing daylight and the sun setting I ventured north on N. Shawano Street almost making it to W. Waupaca Street. Again, the water got too deep to go any further. I could not get behind Festival Foods so I made my way through their parking lot and back downtown to document the current situation there since the water had receded. This is the last series documenting the flooding here in this amazing city I call home. The resilience I've witnessed from residents has been truly remarkable. Thank you to those who took the time to talk to me along my photographic journey of documentation so I could understand your journey as well. Now the City of New London, Wisconsin goes into recovery. My prayers are with all of you! New London Strong!!!

Eighth series of photos documenting the flooding here in New London, Wisconsin on Sunday April 19, 2026. These start at the intersection of N. Shawano Street and W. Wolf River Avenue, heading west towards Waters Supper Club. I was able to make it almost to Edward Jones so headed back upriver towards the N. Shawano Street bridge.

Public Service Announcement: If you have been affected by the flooding, your gas/utility providers are NOT going to charge you to restore service. If someone contacts you asking for money to restore service, it is a scam. Sad anyone has to think about this happening however, there are vultures out there looking to take advantage of people in times of crisis. Please stay safe! 🙏
