The chemistry between these two is undeniable.

I had the privilege of photographing sports journalism icons Jack Curry and Ian O’Connor for Pascack Valley City Lifestyle Magazine. As someone from a baseball-loving family, this assignment was especially meaningful. Beyond their impressive careers, what struck me most was the bond they share, not only as two of the most respected voices in sports media, but as family. Their story is one of brotherhood, shared values, relentless curiosity, and a commitment to getting the story right.

Beautifully styled by Sal Lauretta, the goal of this session wasn’t simply to create great portraits. For me, photography is about revealing connection. It’s about how people interact with one another, their environment, and the energy around them. Those moments in between - the conversations, laughter, and unspoken understanding, are what bring personality to life.

The best photographs allow viewers and readers to feel like they know someone before ever meeting them. They create connection on an emotional level, not just a visual one.
