This morning I frantically checked Facebook's Safety Alert and texted friends to make sure they were alive. I'll refrain from getting political-- there are plenty of politicians paid to do that-- but I'll say this: I just want to live in a world where I'll never have to do that again.

I am thankful that everyone I know personally who was in Vegas last night is ok, but my heart breaks for those who did not survive.

Music, concerts, and festivals are a big part of my life and this unspeakable tragedy hits closer to home than I could have ever imagined. For the first time in my life, I completely broke down because of the headlines.

My heart goes out to the victims, the Route 91 Harvest crew, Las Vegas and the entire music community.
