“Live From The 10th Floor” is a series where artists from the worlds of theater, musical theater, dance and now opera perform excerpts of larger works inside T Magazine’s headquarters in Midtown. It is never a closed set — we shoot during the active workday, often in close proximity to Times staff trying to make their deadlines. For that reason, having a small footprint is critical and has informed all of our gear decisions.
Each type of performance demands something different — a dozen and a half dancers running through the office requires a different kit than a dialogue scene between two people sitting across from each other. The team at Adorama has been unflappable in their support, often Tinker Toy-ing parts together to create bespoke rigs to help us solve our creative problems and giving us the best image quality within our means.”
