So so excited to be rapidly approaching engagement session season :) my spring already looks insane so please don't wait around to reach out if you'd like to work with me before the summer!

Ps: so grateful Jada and Taylor let me take their picture in front of my beloved Dinosaur. Devastated he's leaving so soon.

River House at Odette’s sits right on the Delaware in New Hope, PA, and this past Saturday, the floor-to-ceiling windows don’t lie - the light in there is something. Skylar and Ian’s ceremony was set beneath the venue’s stunning curved wood ceiling, with white hydrangeas, delphinium, and soft garden blooms flanking the altar and rose petals scattered all the way down the aisle. Simple, elegant, and completely them. After they said their vows, Skylar walked back up that aisle with her bouquet raised high with an excitement that the whole room felt.

These two were SO easy to be around all day. Warm, joyful, completely present with each other and the people they’d brought together. The reception carried that same energy right through to the end of the night - toasts that had everyone in tears and laughing within the same minute, a dance floor that never emptied, and Ian dipping Skylar under the lights as the night wound down.

Congrats Skylar & Ian, and welcome The Woods! 🤍

So excited to be able to share some images from Adele and Eli's maternity portraits :) I don't know if I can properly convey how obsessed with her Eli is - but several times during the session I caught him staring and saying "wow..." under his breath. And that's exactly the energy that I love to see.

Golden hour on Milton Harbor at hits different when you watched these two get married in that same exact spot just hours before.

Michael and Maggie’s ceremony at Wainwright House was something incredible — coral and blush peonies cascading down the aisle, water stretching out behind them, the whole thing. But then the sun started making everything glow during their reception, we absolutely had to sneak back down to the lawn one more time. So glad we did!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These two were so easy to be around all day. Laughing, running around the grass, completely focused on each other. That kind of joy is contagious - and it was all over every single frame.

2025 included several new families sneaking through the cracks of my exclusively weddings-etc-focused marketing, and I'm so glad for it :)

I've always loved photographing families, but I'm only ever becoming more aware of how precious the early moments are. As someone who absolutely can't wait to be a dad, I bring a joy of my own to these jobs! It's like a peek behind the curtain at a part of my life I hope to have one day.

Also in 2025 I got rid of time limits for family sessions. I wanted it to be clear that we aren't in a rush. You and your family don't need to perform. We don't *need* to try to get the kids to cooperate quickly so we don't run out of time. Everything moves at the pace it moves, the kids will be kids (and tbh the adults will be the adults), and we're going to get some beautiful, relaxed, real life photos.

I can't wait to meet this year's families and to see how some from before have grown and changed!

How I Accidentally Became a Wedding Photographer

I never meant to be a wedding photographer. Or really any kind of photographer! I originally set out to do videography, focusing on making really cool videos of longboard races and competitions but it all just kinda happened! During junior year in high school I found photography to be more accessible to practice and it also gave me the opportunity to make some new friends, which when I started taking pictures I didn’t have a ton of, so win-win! I set off on my journey just to get good at using my camera and asking every person I could think of if they would let me practice taking photos of them. One day an engaged military couple from church got word that he would be given orders (or something) really soon and if they weren’t married she couldn’t come with him. However it went down, the result was that they had to get married that weekend. In 2 days. Some mutual friends from heard about the situation and decided to throw them a small little wedding and asked me to come photograph it! They had no budget and I’d never photographed any kind of wedding before (or even been to a wedding) so it was a given that they I would do it for free! The day came and many many times throughout the day I found myself googling “what happens at weddings” and “how to be a wedding photographer” and more like that. Like I said, I’d never ever even been to a wedding. I had no clue how they worked or what happened at one! The whole day went relatively smoothly besides a very last minute venue change. I don’t think I did anything too incredible but I’m so thankful for the experience and that I got to help out some people in need! Here’s a photo from the day -

I wouldn’t say I was hooked right away but I was certainly wanting to give it another chance! I was able to use the photos to book a few more weddings and then it all just kinda snowballed to where I am today! I’m very thankful for every cool opportunity I’ve had and that God’s given me through photography. Countless trips and friendships made all for beautiful photos. And so much of it I’ve gotten to share with my beautiful wife (pictured with me in the header of this- photo by Lucy Steiner btw). I wouldn’t change a thing about this life I have and I’m so thankful that this very non-traditional job is mine!
