Freezing temps vs. The Shot. ❄️📸

Walking through Central Park today, it was absolutely brutal out there.
I almost missed him, just a little flash of movement on the bark.
I had to jump off the path and get right up to the tree to get this clean shot.
Worth the frozen fingers to capture this male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker looking completely unbothered by the chill.

Electric nights in the Wharf. ⚡️🏙️

Caught the DLR cutting right through the Winter Lights 2026 exhibition, hovering perfectly over “Amplitudes” by Limbic Cinema.

This installation at Eden Dock is mind-blowing. It projects animated waveforms onto airborne water particles, creating this shimmering, holographic effect that actually shifts with the wind. The visuals are perfectly synced to the music, so you get this total synaesthetic fusion of sound and light.

It’s the perfect contrast, the organic movement of the water against the rigid steel of the train line and the Newfoundland tower.

Caught this welcome committee on Dyer Ave. It’s the perfect Hell’s Kitchen contrast: billion-dollar glass towers in the back, and absolute avian chaos in the front.

New York is just a series of controlled collisions.

Volcanic glass meeting fossilized time.

This isn’t just a rock on a rock. It’s a rhodolith (calcareous algae) resting on centuries-old lava.

The entire beach is covered in these white stony corals, creating a stark, monochromatic contrast against the black volcanic sand.
Fuerteventura textures are just on another level.

Pull over? No time. 🚗💨

Sometimes the landscape moves too fast to stop (or the driver just wants to keep moving! 😂), so you just roll down the window and hope your shutter speed is fast enough.

Caught this moody slice of Fuerteventura from the passenger seat while my husband kept driving through the interior. The compression of the 70–300mm lens pulls that mountain right up against the ruins, making the whole thing look like a movie set.
