"When I close my eyes and dream of you" is a testament to what I see while I lay in the sun and close my eyes to let my thoughts wander. Her bright, hot rays flooding my vision red bring me to a blissful dream like state. The moment when my thoughts can be left to their devices. Truly free to roam and conjure up memories and experiences out from my minds depths. It brings up memories from as far back as my childhood when life was lived in the moment and carefree. Of my earlier youth where the natural and supernatural where manifested in the minute details in the surface of fantastically shaped rocks in the Valle della Luna in Sardinia and the spiritual connection of the moon and the sea was almost palpable. The early impressions of New York and my children who always remind me of how fantastic and wondrous life can be.

One of my greatest pleasures — because I can’t cook! — is setting the table. Because every horizontal surface is fair game. I love taking objects from shelves & side tables and incorporating them into a tablescape to tell an interesting story with pieces that technically don’t go together, or have any purpose other than decoration. I do that every time we set the table, whether it’s a casual Friday night dinner or a table for the .
