To Almost Close,

In 1908, Control of Overland

Was Purchased By J. N. Willys,

The Company Moved Forward.

Willys Already Produced The Knight,

Overland Label Continued

By 1910 The Company Was The Second

Largest Automaker Next To Ford.

John Willys Brought Loads

Of Companies And Their Factories

Felt The Pinch Of The Early Twenties,

Worked Out Money Issue.

With Thirty Years Under The Belt History,

The Company Pulled Government Contracts.

The Willys Jeep Was Developed.

The Company's Product Was Steady, Yet Slow.

In WWII The Company Fell Behind,

General Motors Picked Up The Slack.

Other Companies Joined Forces,

Studebaker and Ford Gave Engine Production

To Keep The Jeep On Time.

After The War In Europe,

By The End Of World War II,

The Jeep Type Had Large Numbers.

362,841 By Willys,

280,448 By Ford.

And 2,675 By American Bantam .

There Were Jeep Orders.

But For Purposes Production Orders Slowed Down

In 1953, Kaiser Motors purchased Willys–Overland

Willys Produced Truck Type Vehicles.

The Jeep Line Was Merged Into American Motors.

In The 1960's And Is Still Produced Today.
