Valentino Garavani, the Roman couturier who launched his label in 1960 and found worldwide fame dressing European royals, American first ladies, and stars of the day, passed away peacefully at his home in Rome on 19 January, 2026. He was 93.



His passing marks the end of an era in fashion history. Over a career spanning more than five decades, Valentino Garavani shaped a vision of glamour defined by discipline, romance, and an unwavering devotion to beauty.
