The Staten Island Museum's "Yes, And" exhibit is still open for viewing!
The new winters hours are Fri-Sun 11am-5pm.
Bring friends, bring family! Go check out the amazing participating artists and read about what it means to each of them to be connected to S.I. - New York's favorite "forgotten borough." :)
I am thrilled to be featured as well. Staten Island is home, and always will be!
“When I was growing up, my mother’s best friend, Jan Somma-Hammel was a photographer for the Staten Island Advance. She still is, in fact. Some of my earliest memories are of walking around the Greenbelt with her, photographing wildlife and nature with her guidance (and Nikons). Whether it’s because I grew up there or spent so much time staring at the big city from the cloudy ferry windows, Staten Island pushed me to be courageous, compassionate, and never afraid to fail. Though it is not where I live now, Staten Island is home, and I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without it.” -Alana Urcia (The_Artful_Spotter)
