The dress code was white. The reason was Maddie’s last name. The exception was the couple; sage green, a quiet nod to Scott’s.

Guests spent the day exactly as they should in Palm Springs - pickleball, co****le, and kickball played with vacation-fueled competitiveness, a pool party catered by In-N-Out, and somehow still enough energy left for a welcome dinner as the desert finally cooled down.

The kind of Friday that makes Saturday feel earned.

Kelly and John didn’t just get married in Williamsburg. They took it over.

Five venues. All walkable. A day that moved through the neighborhood like it owned the place, because for one Saturday, it kind of did. Getting ready at the Wythe, portraits along the East River, an intimate ceremony at Rosa with just 17 people who mattered most. Then Juliet for cocktail hour, tucked inside a garden room that could have been lifted straight from the French Quarter. Which felt appropriate, because Kelly and John are New Orleans people - and they brought that spirit with them.

The second line through Williamsburg was the moment the day shifted into something else entirely. One hundred and fifty guests, a DJ who didn’t stop for a single block, and Berry Street turned into one long, moving dance party. John’s bolo tie held up through all of it. Kelly went through multiple outfit changes. Nobody wanted it to end; so they didn’t let it, spilling into Café Balearica for an after party that kept the whole thing going.

New Orleans knows how to celebrate. Turns out, so does Williamsburg. These two knew exactly what they were doing when they brought both together.

Meet Edward Winter.

His belief is simple: photos become heirlooms not because they freeze time, but because they hold onto the feeling of a place, the energy in the room, and the threads between people that you can’t quite describe. A glance. A hand on a back. A laugh across a crowded room, the kind you can’t hear but know exactly what it was about.

Those are the moments people actually want to keep.

Growing up in a big, loud family, and now having his own, taught Edward that the good stuff is almost always happening on the margins, not always in the middle of the frame. Wedding days have always felt familiar to him in that way: joyful, a little chaotic, full of small interactions that nobody could plan but end up mattering the most. Those are the moments that make every wedding truly unique to itself and irresistible to photograph.

A little Palm Springs sun to welcome the first weeks of summer. Nothing says the solstice quite like a pool party in the desert, surrounded by mountains, palms, and pre-wedding weekend burgers from In-N-Out Burger®.

Maddie + Scott’s wedding took us out of NYC and over to Southern California earlier this year, and their entire weekend was an absolute blast from start to finish. We can't wait to share more of this sun-soaked goodness soon.

The best part of documenting a family over nearly a decade is watching the familiar rhythms play out in new ways. Witnessing these first looks with Lucy’s father and sisters felt less like a traditional wedding morning and more like a continuation of a story we’ve been lucky enough to tell for years. Just a few honest, unscripted moments from a morning that had a lot of heart behind it.

The lakeside amphitheater at Cedar Lakes Estate has a specific kind of stillness to it - a natural quiet that makes a ceremony feel tucked away from the rest of the world. For Emily + Andy’s summer weekend, that quiet was met with a bold, vibrant energy from the start.

We loved how nikki pettus didn't shy away from color, using wild, architectural florals to frame the Chuppah and ground the vastness of the lakeside setting. It was a day that felt both expansive and deeply intimate, a balance that’s hard to strike but was made to look effortless by SociaLife Events. Looking back at these frames, you can almost feel the summer heat and the ease of a weekend where everything just clicked.
