It’s been a month since I saw “Cats: The Jellicle Ball” and I won’t stop telling everyone about it!

The space Rachel Hauck created is beyond purfect! I felt like I snuck into an abandoned warehouse and I didn’t want to leave. The details, the sconces, the tinsel curtain …all the way down to the glitter in the floor all created a world of q***r joy where we laughed, cried, and standing ovat-ed more times than I could count.

Rachel is the scenic designer for Cats. I took this portrait celebrating her scene design of “Goodnight Oscar” (…don’t get me started! 🎙️🎥 🎹)

Congratulations to the Cats team on a phenomenal run!!!!! I can’t wait to see what is next!!!

June 14th is the day my Dad died 9 years ago. On June 14th I always try to do something he would love.

This year June 14th was the World Premiere of “Planet W” a new musical I’ve been designing projections for (YES there are 3D projections in the show!)

To quote my Dad: “IT’S A BEAUTIFUL THING” because he would have LOVED this show! He was obsessed with “The War of the Worlds” radio play and the “Mars Attacks” movie. I feel this new musical draws inspiration from both of those pieces.

Celebrating genius Cha See who is making their Broadway debut with tomorrow night’s opening of “Oh Mary!” Cha inspires me endlessly and tomorrow they make history as the first Filipino Lighting Designer on Broadway!!!!!

So lucky to know …such an inspiring designer and loving friend!
