New Work!

A modern pilgrimage. 📷: Herring & Herring

Herring&Herring: As you see by the footsteps many people make this pilgrimage. Our hope was to capture this image without anyone else being on the dunes… for it to feel as if we were the only people there. We couldn’t resist placing the NYC tag on the TUMI case to show our journey.

New Work!

High in contrast and texture, the Mohave Desert is the perfect backdrop to our fragrances.

Herring&Herring: We have never shot a bottle of perfume. But then, we haven’t shot a lot of things before we wound up shooting them. We fell in love with the texture of the dry desert ground and found it to be the perfect backdrop and contrast to the liquid inside of the shiny bottles.

New Work!

Travel is on the horizon. 📷: Herring & Herring

Herring&Herring: We typically travel for work between NY, LA, and London, taking photos of actors, musicians, and models. An airplane had become a second office of sorts but when the pandemic put us all into lockdown we had to come up with new ways of working.
Looking for new ways to travel and be creative, we found road trips a great way discover parts unknown that may be just a few hours drive from home. We decided on a route going from Jesper’s house in LA to Vegas. A way for us to reunite and take some time to enjoy the view.
This was one of the first images we had planned out when we decided to take this journey. A road that seemingly has no end in sight and actually feels that way on the drive through it. We pulled off the side of the road and sat around waiting to see how long it would take for another car to come through… when the wait had been more than 15 minutes we decided to just go for it and set up the shot.

Herring&Herring: We aren’t landscape photographers, but we take photos of landscapes… we aren’t fashion photographers but we take fashion images… we aren’t music video directors, but we direct music videos… we aren’t magazine publishers, but we publish a magazine. So what are we? We are two curious guys that like to challenge ourselves with each creative endeavor we undertake.

Time for something new!

Photography duo Herring & Herring found road trips to be great way discover parts unknown. Letting us in on their journey from LA to Vegas, we get to enjoy their view.

Herring&Herring: One of our clients was the Argyle Diamond mine in Western Australia… It was the largest producing diamond mine in the world before it closed in 2020. This hill reminded us of the mine. It’s cool to imagine what kind of treasures may lie beneath the surface…
