Amy Sims is a New York based photographer specializing in Weddings, Events & Portraits. She loves the personal quirks that make each couple unique. Her favorite things to discover are times of pure joy and serene moments during a bustling and exhilarating wedding day. Weddings can be a whirlwind, and Amy captures significant (and seemingly insignificant) moments before they blow by, so you can look back years from now and remember that feeling. Amy has worked and studied with some of the best wedding photographers in New York. She shot her first wedding in 2010. She started as an office assistant for a New York wedding photography company and was quickly promoted to Associate Photographer, learning the ins and outs of the industry, from working with other creative vendors to editing and designing wedding albums. However, for Amy, the most rewarding part of the process is getting to know a couple, discovering their individuality, and finding little ways to incorporate their uniqueness into the final images from the day: fencing with your new spouse, revealing your inner Batman through masked His and Hers cake toppers, or a custom made "Harry Potter" inspired poster for guests to sign. Amy celebrates all the little things that make each couple awesome!
