Small world moment. Last week I was talking to Lauren of about a conversation she'd had with , where he basically told her she must be nuts to do what she does. Honestly, fair. You have to be a special kind of person to pull off that high level of hospitality.

One week later I'm helping out at the , look up, and the guy is standing in front of my camera, there to support as she picks up her award.

Jersey City has transformed since my days at school in Hoboken in the '90s. What was once an industrial skyline with abandoned warehouses, old shipping docks and rail stations is now a modern masterpiece, where luxury living meets breathtaking views of the Hudson, Freedom Tower, and the Statue of Liberty. A reminder of how much a city and a life can change.

Moving is always stressful. I'm happy I can do something everyday that I love but realizing that I have a small part in making that transition easier, not just for the people moving out but for those moving in, changed the way I approach real estate photography. It's a reward I didn't anticipate.
