This is my son Noa on the court today!! Look at the joy on his face playing with his first basketball. Sorry I haven’t been posting. In part, it’s because of Noa. Trying to be present with him in an endless sea of distraction. Being a dad is the best thing that has ever happened to me. That’s for sure. But it doesn’t leave much time to wander aimlessly through cities like I am more accustomed too. Life is a blur. But one thing I am absolutely sure about is what you focus on grows. This shot is a mistake. But I love it. Captures nyc hoops beautifully for me, because I’ve spent so many summer nights in Nyc shooting hoops. Sirens swirling. Horns. Construction. Sweat. Drunks. Homeless arguing. This photo is more about a feeling than anything else. A feeling of being at your own little oasis. A bubble within a bubble. An island within an island. F**k, I love the old nyc.
