A woman armed with two large kitchen knives randomly stabbed two people near 7th Avenue around 4:30 PM, according to NYPD.

A 32-year-old woman was killed, while a 68-year-old man was injured and is now in stable condition.

Police confronted the suspect near the NYPD substation. After attempts to stop her with a Taser failed and she continued toward officers with the knives, police opened fire. The suspect later died at the hospital.

Police say the attack appears to have been random and unprovoked, and there is no indication it was terrorism-related.

Wait… Lake Ontario is GONE from Google Maps?! 😳🇺🇸🇨🇦

If you open Google Maps in the United States, you may now see Lake America instead of Lake Ontario.

Google made the change after the U.S. government officially renamed the lake following President Trump’s executive order.

But here’s the crazy part:

🇺🇸 U.S. → Lake America
🇨🇦 Canada → Lake Ontario
🌎 Rest of the world → Both names

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has already said: “New York won’t be calling it that.”
