Joao, started making music during the Eighties with the cult Brazilian band Tonton Macoute, which released some big radio hits in Rio De Janeiro, leaving a mark on generation of artists. Then he pursued a solo career as a composer, being nominated to Latin Grammy and being a composer in-residence for 3 years at Henrique Schuller's contemporary dance company. Then he finally moved to New York City to write the opera "Tamanduà". Joao worked in many projects, too many to be mentioned here. Check his Wikipedia page or his personal site. Luigi Porto
The sound design chief is Luigi Porto, an electroacoustic composer with more than 10 years of experience in Italy, where he worked (and still works) both as a composer and sound designer for cinema and TV. While studying music and sound technology, Luigi still plays, does arrangements and writes music for some Italian bands, the most important being Maisie, which is also featured in the "Enciclopedia del Rock" by Piero Scaruffi. In 2007 he started working in Rome as a sound editor and sound designer, sometimes dealing with both music and sound elements in films. His current major collaboration is with the cult director Romano Scavolini for the three-chapter film "L'apocalisse delle scimmie" for which Luigi is still writing an electro-acoustic symphonic poem that will last more than 6 hours. http://www.luigiporto.com
