The Peeling Away Of Women’s Rights” photographed 2/5/25 MANUFACTOR GALLERY

THE PEELING BACK OF WOMEN’S RIGHT has happen all throughout history & it still continues today for ALL WOMEN regardless of race, creed, color or sexual orientation. Some examples of how this is still continuing today include:

Overturning of Roe v. Wade: This landmark decision in the US has allowed individual states to enact abortion bans and restrictions, severely curtailing access to care for millions of women.

Legislative Efforts to Restrict Reproductive Healthcare: Ongoing legislative attempts, both at the state and federal levels in the US, aim to further limit access to abortion and other reproductive health services.

Cuts to Women’s Health Programs: Reductions in funding for programs that support women’s health can impact access to crucial services like cancer screenings and STI testing.

Increased Vulnerability in Conflict Zones: In areas affected by conflict, women and girls face increased risks of violence, displacement, and exploitation.

Backlash Against Women’s Rights Movements: Reports indicate a rise in backlash against women’s rights, including increased misogynistic speech and online attacks targeting activists and organizations.

THIS MUST STOP NOW!

Proud to announce that “First Date” from the MANUFACTOR GALLERY on ToxicNature.Com opens today 7/22/25 in the curated Rooted In Verse exhibition running through 8/24/25 at the Huntington Arts Council gallery, located at 213 Main Street, Huntington, NY 11743.

In the Rooted In Verse exhibition, which is being presented in conjunction with the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association, artists were asked to find a link between their works of art & any one of three of Walt Whitman’s poems from his poetry collection entitled Leaves Of Grass. For his poem A Glimpse, written in 1892, I chose my 2016 photo “First Date”.

LMK what you think? I’ve included a copy of A Glimpse in this post so you can decide for yourselves.

“First Date” is an Archival Digital Pigment Print that’s printed on bamboo paper, displayed on a framed cork board & held in place with magnet tacks. If you’re in the Huntington, NY area, I hope you’ll stop by to check out “First Date” & all the other great works of art being exhibited at the Huntington Arts Council gallery through 8/24/25.
