Introduction

Blaise Hayward was born in Canada and moved to New York in 1996 to pursue a career in Photography. Known for his high-energy, enthusiasm, and passion, Blaise has the ability to create and photograph a moment of unique connection with people. His experience over the years has allowed him to shoot a diverse range of subjects from Fortune 500 CEOʼs, to patients living with HIV.
“I ingra

tiate myself to each individual, put them at ease and make them feel really good about themselves. This is not something I do consciously, it comes naturally to me. It is part of my personality. If someone happens to be apprehensive or uneasy in front of the camera, I sense an opportunity, not a challenge and do not let the spontaneity of the moment go unrecorded. If someone truly comes to life in front of the camera, I feed off their energy and let it burst from the lens” – Blaise Hayward
He has shot several bodies of Fine Art work including Adrift, 1-10 and Heavy Metal. Some of Blaiseʼs advertising, commercial and editorial clients include:
BBDO, Publicis, Mcgarrybowen, DDB, C-K, McCann, Verizon Wireless, Pfizer, Chase, UBS, MasterCard, Mercedes Benz, AOL, Meredith, Esquire, The New York Times Magazine and Glamour. Blaise recently made his directorial debut, shooting a PSA for the NY State Anti-Drug Coalition. Blaise currently lives in New York City with his wife and two young children.
“Blaise has a great eye for composition; a strong curiosity for finding shots that others would miss; and an incredible work ethic. There is a beautiful narrative behind each picture.”

RIP Dolly and I hope you had a good flight. You must be in Heaven by now, where you truly belong. You were always thinking of others and were so generous with your time and resources, helping those less fortunate and making a real difference in so many people’s lives. You are a true inspiration and right now, the world and especially America need more people like you. I hope you are playing a tune for the late great Jimmy Carter, who I know was a fan and friend and like you gave tirelessly of his time, energy and compassion. This ticket is part of my Tickets Please project and will be included in my upcoming book World Tour - Tickets to 100 Iconic concerts, being published by Rizzoli in March 2027.

After years of hard work, a box of 100 match prints have been sent via fed to the printer. My designer transmitted the 14+ gig folder of images over the weekend and on Monday they will get to work printing the first set of proofs. I personally wrote all 100 entries of corresponding copy and enjoyed the experience very much. I have a new found and deep respect for the art of writing. I learned a great deal about these artists and it reminded me again of the immense talent that will be on display in this book. It is truly awe inspiring. The video gives you a quick sneak peek of the some of the artists who will be featured but it does not do justice to how incredibly beautiful this book is going to be. I look forward to sharing further updates before the book is published in March of 2027. Thank you to every who has contributed to this amazing project.

If someone had told me when I started pursuing my art full time that in 2026 I would be working on my first book with Rizzoli, I would have said “I’ll take it”. Just had my first in person meeting at their offices here in NY after many zooms and I just want to say it going to be a really great book. Beautifully designed by my old colleague David at Triboro Design, beautifully photographed, cleverly written and it will be printed with love and care. The mock up is blank for now, but just holding it feels so good. Looking forward to sharing more down the road! Stay tuned!!!

Congratulations Knickerbockers! 53 Years is a long time to wait! This 1948 ticket stub is from a game between the Boston Celtics and the Knicks or Knickerbocker’s as they were known and played at the old MSG on Eighth Avenue btw 49 & 50th Streets. It is part of a permanent installation of 21 large scale prints at the Renaissance Hotel on 34th Street and 7th Avenue, celebrating Madison Square Gardens illustrious history.

I wanted to share an article from my friend and colleague Keith Recker's wonderful magazine TABLE, written by the talented Kathleen Renda. It discuss's my timely project America ~ The Statehood Quarters, as well as touching on my Tickets Please project, which will be published by Rizzoli in the spring of next year. Thank you both for the shout out. Please have a read and click the link below.

Blaise Hayward turns 50 state quarters into sharply observed photographs about what still holds America together.
