June 23, 2026 – CNPA Outing at Huguenot Beach, Florida

Part 3 (Last one)

This was my first time visiting the beach, and I was completely overwhelmed—in the best way possible—by the number of birds flying all around me. As I walked along the sand, I tried to tell the story of the day in sequence through my photographs, capturing the many birds gathered together along the shoreline.

We enjoyed a wonderful day at Huguenot Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida, one of the premier birding destinations on the East Coast. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the St. Johns River, the park's diverse habitats attract nearly 240 bird species. It is especially renowned for its large breeding colonies of terns, gulls, skimmers, and other shorebirds, making it a favorite destination for birdwatchers and nature photographers alike.

The abundance of birdlife provided endless opportunities for observation and photography, making this first beach experience both exciting and unforgettable and it won't be my last to visit.
