These were taken in our first home we owned together. Photos are memories and allow us to access time periods long after they have faded in our actual memories...
It’s also been one of the hardest weeks in my career, and realizing that the world we live in is incredibly divisive and confusing, often pitting comrades against each other over the slightest infractions or mistakes... political correctness can also become a dangerous landscape, and life is more nuanced than the black and white... many of our lives come in different shades and colors... and we all need to be really ready to hold compassion and understanding for everyone’s individual story, not compounding us all into a rigid box... that’s political toxicity at its best!
I never get into politics on here, but I will right now so that my intentions are clear... I am a Puerto Rican Italian Jew, and yes I am jewish, During this incredibly critical period, where many governments are inflicting genocide on innocent people, the Israeli flag has become a symbol of that terror, but it also symbolizes being Jewish, and I mistakenly used it to symbolize my heritage and was fired because of that... being someone raised in NYC in a mixed ethnic and religious household, and born from a family of political activists, I was floored even after explaining myself over and over again I was judged and shut down .. I wanna be so very clear here in case this person try’s to harm my reputation.. i stand with all marginalized people, and I dedicate my spirit to fighting against oppressive systems... I am a Jew who stands against terror to all of humanity! And I stand with Gaza and Palestine and all nations and people who are oppressed !
