Introducing the Nymans✨
Alicia and Nik spent the night before over pizza and wine at Giulia - a rehearsal dinner with the people who feel more like family than friends at this point. That’s the thing about chosen family: you can’t fake the ease of it, and there was zero faking happening at that table.
The next day, Sidedoor’s cobblestone courtyard did most of the heavy lifting on atmosphere - string lights, greenery spilling everywhere, that “we found a secret garden in the middle of the city” feeling that no amount of Pinterest boards can manufacture. Live music carried them through the ceremony and into cocktail hour, setting a tone the rest of the day just followed. Their whole vibe was giving Father of the Bride, the good kind, the kind where George Banks would’ve absolutely lost it in the best way - big feelings, bigger love, a little bit of chaos he didn’t ask for and wouldn’t trade for anything. Nik held it together right up until the speeches, and then he didn’t, which honestly tracks.
Their son did exactly what a toddler does at a wedding - no job title, no walking anyone down anything, just pure scene-stealing on his own schedule…and Grandma held court from the best seat in the house.
Dinner turned into a DJ who clearly understood the assignment, and the dance floor stayed full all night. English garden florals draped over every surface like they’d always been there. The whole night had this current of energy running through it, the kind of love and joy that shows up when the people who raised you and the people who found you later are all in the same room.
