On May 15, 2026, pro-Palestine demonstrators rallied in New York City condemning Israel for occupying Palestine. The march took place on Nakba Day. Nakba Day marks the day in 1948 when Israeli forces expelled Palestinians from lands that became part of the state of Israel. Protesters criticized the Israel Defense Forces for its military operations in Gaza. Israel and Hamas agreed to a fragile ceasefire in October 2025, although there have been Israeli strikes in Gaza following the peace deal.

Demonstrators also condemned Israel’s new death penalty law, which solely targets Palestinians convicted of deadly attacks against Israel.

On 4/8/26, demonstrators marched in Manhattan, New York City protesting the war against Iran. Protesters condemned the Trump administration and Israel for launching airstrikes against Iran. The rally occurred after the U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday. The U.S. demands Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Following the ceasefire, Israel launched missile strikes against targets in Lebanon. Iran claims Israel has violated the ceasefire.

On 4/1/26, the New York International Auto Show took place in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, New York City. The event featured various car companies, debuts of new vehicles and automobile industry professionals. The convention, which opens to the public on April 3 and ends on April 12, attracts thousands of car enthusiasts. The NYIAS began in 1900 showcasing automobiles and examples of future car technology.

On Al Quds Day, demonstrators in New York City demanded freedom for Palestine and opposed the United States’ and Israel’s war against Iran. Al Quds Day occurs on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. On this day, protests take place worldwide against Israel’s settlement of Palestine.
