FOR SALE- Very rare 40mm T1.7 fast wide angle Kowa NAC HM-III D series lens. This is pre- Prominar late 1960-s evolution of the infamous B-series early anamorphic attempts in Japan. Compact-half the size of the B lenses yet sharp and fast. The lens is mounted in ARRI Bayonet that easily adapts to PL. We can assist in the conversion. There is iris gear installed but no focus gear. We can supply one upon request- $7,750

Additional notes: as expected for lens this age in movie making environment there is wear on the external metal parts, front glass surface is nice , rear glass surface has coating marks as do couple of internal glass surfaces, probably due to age and as result of cleaning services. These coating marks do not affect the image, which is sharp with the signature vintage decreased contrast wide open that increases as the lens is stopped down. Mechanically operational but could use CLA for iris control as it tightens up slightly towards the stopped down position.
