I wish more moms knew they don't have to love being pregnant to want maternity photos.

You can be uncomfortable, exhausted and counting down the days until you meet your baby.

This season doesn't have to feel perfect to be worth remembering. It deserves to be celebrated exactly as it is.

The most precious baby boy came to see me at 4 weeks old and slept like an absolute pro!

Just a little reminder that I will NEVER put an age “cap” on your newborn session. While those first couple of weeks are often ideal, if your baby is a little older and you still want to capture those sweet newborn moments, we will find a way to do just that! Every baby deserves to have this season documented.

Parents often show up to family sessions worried about whether their kids will cooperate.
The kids? They couldn't be less concerned. 😂

They're busy telling me about the coolest rock they found, what they named their stuffed dinosaur, or exactly what they're having for dinner later."

And that's my favorite part! Kids don't have to be perfectly behaved to make beautiful photos. They just have to be themselves.

It seems like newborns quickly earn a reputation. 😂

"This one only wants to be held."
"She's already so curious."
"He definitely knows what he wants."

They're only a few weeks old, but somehow everyone in the family already knows exactly who they are.

It's one of my favorite things to watch during newborn sessions because those little personalities start shining through so much earlier than people expect. And I am here for it!

There’s something so surreal about those last few weeks of pregnancy.

Life keeps moving like normal. You run errands, fold tiny baby clothes, answer emails, make dinner … but in the back of your mind you're always wondering... "Could today be the day?"

It's such a unique season of waiting, and I think that's one of the reasons I love maternity sessions so much.
