Happiness is such a special thing, especially when you're looking back at someone you love. You remember the funny moments, the little details, how quickly they grew up, and even some of the things you forgot.

That's why holding on to these memories is so important. When the parties are over, the milestones have past, your kids have graduated, or Grandparents have passed on, what will you have left to make you happy? The photographs of those beautiful, happy moments.

Grateful to have shared in this little one's first year of milestones, from newborn to sitting up, to first birthday, and even some separate sessions with each set of relatives.

Pride isn't something I think about only in June.

It's in the families I photograph, the stories I document, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, welcomed, and celebrated.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of photographing families, couples, and children from many different backgrounds and experiences. What connects them all isn't how they fit into a category, it's love, togetherness, and a desire to capture a moment in their life that wants to live on.

My studio has always been, and will always be, a place where all families are welcome.

The hardest thing about hosting your child’s birthday party is realizing how much you actually get to see!

One of the things I miss most about photographing weddings (that’s where I started all these years ago!) was the documentation of an event. Special events like birthday parties, intimate weddings, and home gatherings allow me to take a step back. The quiet spaces and moments that people forget about later. The arrival of the great-grandparents, party details, and in their case, even a bubble party during a rain storm!

While you’re planning for the food, decorations, presents, and guests, consider the one thing that will keep the memory alive long after everything has finished - the photographs!

Thank you to this special family for trusting me to document their child’s first birthday party! There is so much I wish I could share, but even with just a few photos, you’ll see how beautiful a day it was!

We started planning a simple professional headshot photoshoot for a presentation...

It turned into a 2-hour Empowerment Session. Multiple looks, poses, creating confidence, making her feel comfortable, and ending up with so many looks she loved. Now she wants to come back for more. She LOVES herself. 🙌

We talked about how much her phone camera was probably distorting her face. She thought her smile created too many wrinkles. I convinced her that smile was her best feature. Those cheekbones. The pop of color in her outfits. Trust me.

"There's no place like home."

And sometimes, that's the BEST place for a photoshoot together. A new baby arrives, family moments, a birthday, just because.

Documentary newborn photography in this format can truly tell a different type of story for the newborn stage, and I'm always happy to work with clients in this way. With siblings closer in age, it can really help them feel comfortable and allow them to take breaks in their own space when needed in between.

Even the family dog (baby #1 of course!) can participate (swipe for the CUTEST doggie kisses on baby!).

No, your home doesn't have to be "perfect". I'll guide you through the rooms we'll most likely use. This is meant to be as you are with the focus on your love together.

Whether we're capturing love in my studio, or your home, I'll be honored to be the person behind the camera telling your family story.
