Matt & Madison’s joyful and elegant wedding was absolutely incredible. I met Madison when I photographed her sister’s wedding years ago, and since then, I’ve gotten to photograph so many chapters of their family’s life. So, walking into this day didn’t really feel like walking into a room of clients. Instead, it felt like I was showing up to celebrate people I already adored.

But… this day was completely theirs.

We spent the day watching the weather because we saw rain on the radar. But here in Georgia, you never really know what to expect. Madison was absolutely in love with the outdoor ceremony location, so we were worried, but hopeful! The rain held off, and they ended up getting that outdoor ceremony after all!

I already knew these two were so fun to photograph. They nailed it at their engagement session and acted like pros in front of the camera. They trusted the visions, went along with the crazy ideas, and laughed through it all.

You don’t always have to know how to pose, you can just focus on getting to be with your person, laugh together, and soak up the moments.

Enjoying your wedding, your people, the your person truly creates photos that feel like you. 🤍

There’s just something about getting married in the backyard. 🤍
No huge production. No trying to make the day into something it isn’t. Just your favorite people gathered close, a place that already feels like home, and the person you’ve chosen to do life with.
Jasmine + Garrett’s microwedding was intimate, relaxed, and full of the kind of moments I love most—the ones that don’t need to be manufactured to mean something.
Because your wedding doesn’t have to be big to be unforgettable.
It just has to feel like you.
And this one really, really did. 🥹

HOT TAKE: YOU DON’T NEED AN UNPLUGGED CEREMONY! Other wedding photographers, please don’t come for me.

Hear me out. Your wedding day means a lot to the people that came, and that photo that your mom took of you walking down the aisle? They may mean everything to her one day, and she deserves to have it.

However, I don’t think your guests should spend the entire ceremony on the phone or block the photo and video team by standing or getting in the aisle. There’s a happy medium. They can take a few photos, capture the memory from their point a view, and then put the phone down so they can be in the moment.

You don’t necessarily need an unplugged ceremony.
Maybe you just need a considerate one. 🤍

Nothing about this photo was planned.

We were just on our way to family portraits and Amber & Lex looked back on all the people they loved that showed up to their wedding.

No posing. No direction. No ‘look at each other laugh’ (a normal go-to)

This was just two people who had just left the alter. Sixty seconds after “you may kiss the bride,” and already so freaking happy.

Sometimes the best photo aren’t the ones that are planned. They are those tiny moments in between - those moments that you don’t even realized were happening.

This is when the little moments become the big memories.

Everyone shows their best work online. It’s important to make sure the full wedding day gallery shows how your photographer handles every part of the day and shows consistency in their galleries.

Chances are, you’ve never done this before. Almost everyone feels nervous in front of a camera. But a good photographer can create an experience that is fun and helps you forget that there is a camera there.
