Hard Night, Harder Day 📸🏁

Brent Burgess made his debut in his new Limited Late Model this past weekend at Langley Speedway ,but not without its trials. Car was promising in practice, and Brent felt much more planted than with his old hot rod. Though only a few laps in, the engine threw a belt forcing him to come in early from the practice session. The team got to work, and had it fixed in time for Race 1. Then as he went out for Race 1, the car wouldn’t turn over-Battery was dead. Team managed to get the car jumped and rolling!

Race 1 rolled off with a ABSOLUTE BANG. With multiple cautions in the first 15 Laps. But as the race finally started to go green, Brent settled in and started on the attack. Showing this new car is without a doubt a game changer! But as the race drew to a close, Brent pulled into the pits. Blurry Vision, blacked out vision for several moments, loss of hearing. It would appear that either heat exhaustion or Carbon Monoxide had gotten to the young Virginia native. Seeking the assistance of the onsite EMS, Brent was back to his normal self after some hydration, rest, and medical assistance.

Not how anyone wants their night to end, but beyond glad that Brent is okay and will be back for the next one!

STOUT NIGHT 🏁📸

A PAIR OF PODIUMS for Nick Sample this past weekend at Langley Speedway !! A truly standout night for the Hampton Roads native in his 66 Limited Late Model. Starting the night with a P2 in race 1 and coming from the back Via Invert to finish P3 in Race 2. Nick and the team are very satisfied with their performance this past Saturday leading into the closing races of the 2026 season!

This team has consistently improved week in and week out, truly becoming a force to be reckoned with at the track! Looking forward to seeing their continued improvement!

Building Speed 📸🏁

Leo Bennett Northam x Langley Speedway

Leo and the team returned to Langley this past weekend with a solid test session in the books Friday afternoon. They knew they had a good piece for Saturday, unloaded the trailer, and BOOM Mother Nature decided to drop the sky. After a nearly 4 hour rain delay, Leo finally got to go out and put some laps in, due to the rain delay the race was started by points.

In Race 1, he was charging through the field and had moved up several positions until the car began to overheat. Unfortunately this would bring the first race to an early end. He was slated to start race 2 on the pole but an electrical issue forced him to return to the pits to have the team get things straight, forcing him to shotgun on the field. From there, Leo got to work! Working his way through the 14 car field all the way up to 5th with momentum still in reserve when the checkered dropped.

A solid 2nd race, and proof that he’s THAT much closer to parking it in victory lane! On to the next one!
