Merry Christmas from Simply Design Studios!

My heart is full of gratitude this season. After a long and unexpected pause, I am so thankful for the patience, kindness, and encouragement I have received from this incredible community. Every message, check in, and show of support meant more than you know.

As we head into the new year, I am beyond excited to reopen Simply Design Studios and return to photographing and creating for the people who make this work so meaningful.
Wishing you a Christmas filled with warmth, love, and beautiful moments. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Thank you all for an incredible turnout, both in person and online, for our 10th Annual Crab Blessing. Your presence and support mean more than words can express.

As many of you may have heard, the F/V Valor III sank just off Newport yesterday. We are deeply grateful that both crew members were rescued. Incidents like this are a sobering reminder of the real risks our fishing families face, especially as crab season begins.

On the eve of the official crab opener, we continue to pray for the safety of our fleet, the protection of our Coast Guard, and peace and strength for the families who wait ashore. This gathering, and this tradition, exist because of that shared care for one another.

A heartfelt thank you to Tyler with Pelirrojo Productions for joining our team this year and for so beautifully capturing the spirit of this meaningful event. ❣

My heart might burst today. This is Lydon, and I have been photographing him since he was a tiny tot. Now he is an incredible young man. We have been counting down the days for him to join our Street Team, and even though the team is small this year, they are a powerful group. It has been such a gift to watch these kids grow into remarkable young adults.

I am feeling a little sentimental, so I had to share a few photos from when this guy was much smaller. Help me cheer on this senior and wish him the very best as he finishes out his high school journey.

My family & I LOVE PJM Auto! Not only is this a great and trustworthy auto shop, Paul Martinson is a pillar in this community. His family and business do so much for our town from support and volunteer to sponsorships and college scholarships- in which my son was a recipient.

We are grateful to live in a place where we can work with so many incredible people. It was a blast capturing these guys again with big personalities in a big warehouse with big tools and big trucks!

It has been an amazing -and incredibly short- senior season for me, and I am grateful for every moment. We have the most wonderful seniors this year. This is the beautiful Sophie from NHS. I have known her since she was just a little one, and it truly melts my heart to capture her as a senior now. She is beautiful inside and out, and I feel so blessed to have her in my studio as one of my Street Teamers.

I've had several messages and emails about our Santa event and I want you to know how heartbroken I am to not be doing it this year as it has been my favorite event since 2012. Unfortunately this year, it is just not possible. On the other hand, there are a LOT of wonderful Santa events happening this weekend and upcoming month. I know that our amazing studio Santa will be at Oregon Coast Bank in Newport on December 10th from 3p-6p! He's the best around!

It has been a while since we photographed seniors, and I could not be more excited to share this gorgeous senior, Brynn. She brought so much style and confidence to her session, and every moment was an absolute pleasure to capture. We loved the entire experience from start to finish.
