Visited the Sunflower Maze at Liberty Farm in Sandyson, NJ yesterday. Not the best time of day to go for photos but...Bee headed for "smiley face" sunflower and Sunflowers as far as the eye can see. Doing some sunrise images this morning at Dewey Beach in Delaware. Taking a week long class at MidAlantic Regional School of photography. Class is with Tony Corbell, master photographer, who is world known. Better images on Nikon camera than this cell phone image. Lucky to see some dolphins swimming by me.

Saw this and wanted to share. Animals do not deserve such cruelty.

Every year in Spain, tens of thousands of Galgos are born and bred to hunt hares. They endure a life of fear and cruelty and when they are no longer useful, they are savagely killed… Hung from trees, thrown into wells, beaten to death or abandoned.

Even though Galgos need our help all year long, World Galgo Day was started so that we can unite and speak with one voice about the plight of these beautiful dogs.

Today, February 1st, was chosen because it marks the end of hunting season when many Galgos meet a fate worse than the life of cruelty that they have already endured.

The shelters do everything the can to rescue the ones they can, even if they are already bursting at the seams. Help spread the word about the Galgos.

We threw out bird seed on the snow later yesterday afternoon. With more snow, it was covered. Squirrel is finding it. With the wind, this is the lower amount of snow on the deck. Shoveling is main focus for today.

Still snowing this morning. I guess that everyone can guess what Art and I will be doing today, along with a lot of other people. Art thinks that we have about 30 inches so far.
