PET PORTRAITS • BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY Hi, I'm Amy Wellenkamp!

Your wedding is important to me, besides your vows, I feel your photos are the most important part of your day. This is why I spend so much time getting to know you, your style, what makes you crack up, be romantic, and most of all relax and be yourselves. Even the bride or groom who doesn't like having their picture taken always comments on how at ease they feel and they love the results. The bes

t wedding photos are the in-between moments we capture, crop, edit and enhance with your style...it is YOUR story after all and should be captured to reflect you.

THE OVERCOMER PROJECT: A Portrait Study of Hope

This photography project tells the stories of people who are overcoming, or have overcome, something in their lives.

Because we all need each other.

These stories are being created as pieces of art to remind others walking their own difficult paths:

There is hope.

I have 3 spots remaining.

Know someone whose story could inspire someone else? Please share this with them.

In October, The Overcomer Project will be exhibited at
The Gallery AG in Arroyo Grande, California.

ENOUGH.

That’s what Jennie shouted through the megaphone during her Overcomer Project portrait session.

She was shouting at the people who shamed her, silenced her, abused her, bullied her, controlled her, and threatened her.

For years, Jennie was taught not to speak about what happened to her.

As a child, when she dared to tell someone outside the family, her mom burned her lips with a match.

She was told not to smile.
Not to speak.
Not to tell.

Eventually, the weight of it all became unbearable.

Jennie had a plan to end her life.

But she chose to stay.

She found faith.
She found community.
She found her voice.

And today, she uses that voice to advocate for others who are suffering in silence.

She is rebuilding relationships with her children.
She is leading in her community.
She is learning, growing, and healing.

And now, Jennie smiles freely and brings her favorite red lipstick to life’s important moments.

Her message is simple:

“It’s never too late to grow.”

This is why I created The Overcomer Project, to tell stories of people who are overcoming or have overcome something difficult.

Because sometimes, seeing someone else survive reminds us that we can, too.

This October, these portraits will be exhibited at The Gallery AG in Arroyo Grande.

I need 3 more Overcomers to complete the exhibition.

3 stories. 3 portraits. 3 opportunities to remind someone:

There is hope.

Know someone? Share this with them.

You deserve all the pampering and prep. I’ve walked these portrait roads with so many amazing humans.

I have loads of ideas, helpful tips and silly jokes. Not to mention you end up with wall worthy artwork that lasts forever of the people and pets you love most.

Last week a senior told me after his session, “This is the first senior thing I’ve done!” 🥹

Do you know why coming up with your own poses is hard?

Because you can’t see what you are doing in each scenario and know how to make adjustments.

But I can! I have so many different looks and poses for the environments we will be in.

You just pick out your outfits, I got the rest.

Want to know what I have heard multiple times these last two weeks?

I really need to update my headshot.

(I can help with this need.)

Followed by…my last one was ok.

(I hear this often, I’ll help pose you.)

Then…I’m looking for something more modern and me.

(Hey that’s exactly what I do!)

I could just use AI.

(You could, but do you really want your first impression to be something that’s not really you? People crave authenticity.)

Ready to stop thinking about it and check this off your list?
