Fall is hands-down one of my favorite times to photograph, and this year I’m giving you SIX different dates and several gorgeous Springfield-area locations to choose from!

These sessions are perfect for updating your family photos, documenting that beautiful baby bump, grabbing a few updated senior portraits, couples, kiddos, or simply getting some gorgeous new photos while Missouri is showing off.

I may be a few days late, but I couldn’t let World Breastfeeding Week pass without sharing one more piece of this year’s breastfeeding session. 🤍

A little before + after from one of the images we created this year.

The before holds the real moment: a mama, her little one, their connection, and a tiny piece of a journey that belongs entirely to them.

The after is where I get to gently bring that moment to life. Enhancing the light, refining the colors, removing distractions, and creating the finished image I had envisioned when I pressed the shutter.

But the most important part was already there.

The bond.
The comfort.
The connection.
The story between a mother and her baby. 🤍

Breastfeeding journeys come in every shape and length. Maybe you tried for a few minutes, made it a couple of hours, continued for several months, or nursed well into the toddler years. Every journey is different, and every effort deserves to be acknowledged.

So even though I’m a tad late...

As many of you know, Dustin recently underwent surgery for a kidney stone and experienced complications afterward. Between the procedure, hospital visits, and recovery, he has missed several days of work. To help us recoup some of that lost income, I would love to fill my upcoming evenings and weekends with sessions. 🤎

Each session includes a select number of professionally hand-edited, high-resolution digital images. Sessions that include smoke bombs will have an additional charge.

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! 🤍

This year’s annual breastfeeding group session may have been smaller than years past, but the love, connection, and meaning behind it felt just as powerful. 🤍

There is something so special about watching mothers come together to celebrate a journey that can be beautiful, exhausting, emotional, frustrating, empowering, and deeply personal all at once. Every breastfeeding story looks different, and every single one deserves to be honored.

Whether you tried for only a few minutes, continued for a couple of hours, made it through several months, or nursed well into the toddler years, your journey mattered. Every attempt, every feeding, and every moment you gave was an act of love. The sleepless nights, the quiet moments, the tears, the determination, the closeness, and the love woven through it all are worth remembering.

Thank you to every mama and little one who showed up and trusted me to capture this season of your lives. Seeing you gather, support one another, and celebrate these deeply personal journeys is what makes this session so meaningful each year.

I am incredibly grateful that this tradition continues year after year. These images are more than photographs. They are reminders of strength, sacrifice, connection, and a chapter of motherhood that passes far too quickly.

Sharing a few favorites from Lainey’s first birthday session! 🍉🦄

Her family had decided on an adorable watermelon theme, but her older brother, Holt, had one very important request: there absolutely had to be unicorns too!

So, naturally, we created the sweetest watermelon-and-unicorn birthday celebration for this precious one-year-old. Sometimes the best themes are the ones little siblings help dream up! Happy first birthday, Lainey!

I wanted to give everyone a quick update and let my clients know that I may be a little behind on editing and responding over the next few days.

Dustin had surgery earlier this week to remove a kidney stone and place a stent, but we ended up back at the hospital due to severe pain, vomiting, and concerns about a possible infection. They are still running tests and speaking with the on-call urologist, so right now my focus is making sure he is okay and getting him through this.

I am still working on galleries as I am able, but things may move a little slower than usual. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and kindness while we navigate yet another unexpected bump in the road.

What a wonderful senior session! 🎓🎶

Even with the heat trying its best to melt us, he handled it like a champ, and we captured some incredible images celebrating this exciting milestone. I loved incorporating his time in band and his trombone into the session. It added such a personal touch and highlighted an important part of his high school journey.

A huge thank-you to his parents for being so patient, kind, and understanding while I worked through my recent computer problems. Your support and grace have meant more to me than you know!

A little before-and-after editing magic ✨

The original image was overly bright, the colors needed correction, and the skin needed gentle smoothing while still keeping everything natural and true to the person.

Editing is not about changing someone. It is about refining the image, correcting distractions, and bringing the photo closer to how the moment actually felt.

It’s time for our annual breastfeeding session. 🤍

This year’s session will be held on July 18th, weather permitting. If we need to reschedule due to weather, the backup date will be July 25th.

This session is always such a beautiful way to celebrate the bond, strength, and love that goes into every breastfeeding journey. Whether you are exclusively nursing, pumping, supplementing, tandem feeding, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here.

More details will be coming soon, but I wanted to go ahead and get the date out there so everyone can mark their calendars.

My computer is officially headed back in for repairs, and I’m hopeful this will be the final round needed to get everything functioning properly again.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a quick turnaround so I can get back to business as usual with a system that finally works the way it should. Thank you all for your patience while I navigate the ongoing tech issues! 💻
