My name is Jared, and birds have fascinated me since I was a boy. I used to sit with my grandmother gazing out her window onto a busy set of bird feeders as she told me stories of how she chased birds around the globe. In college I helped reopen an old bird-banding station and got to hold birds in my hand for the first time. I will never forget the experience. Most recently I have rediscovered photography, a hobby which kept me in dark rooms during junior and senior high school. Combining birds with the joys of digital photography was only a matter of time. Although this is a business page, there is nothing for sale here. The gallery is open to the public and my Facebook friends, with a goal of providing joy, knowledge, inspiration, and occasional humor. Birds are my passion and I hope you join me on my journey of discovery.
